LMAO @ These Promo Videos for the World MMA Awards

The World MMA Awards show will be shown January 6th on Versus. You’ve probably already seen the awesomely drunken acceptance speech by Diego Sanchez. Well, here are more hilarious videos, such as Randy Couture: Divorce Attorney, and Junie Browning: Life Coach.

UFC 107 Afterthoughts..

DeMarques Johnson pulled that triangle out quick, he was getting hammered on too, that was nice to see. Edgar Garcia seems legit though.

I had Stefan Struve winning Round 1, and Paul Buentello winning Rounds 2 & 3…the judges obviously saw differently. Maybe I was biased, as I was hoping Paul would win it.

Kenny Florian and Diego Sanchez need to fight @ 155lbs now. Diego gave Kenny a beatdown when they were both at 185lbs, I’m interested in see what happens at 155.

I honestly think Frank Mir has as good a chance as anyone at beating Fedor now. Yeah I know that’s probably an unpopular opinion, but I think he has the style to give Fedor a competitive fight.

BJ Penn just totally outclassed Diego Sanchez. That was brutal, and I’m a bigger Diego fan now. Who’s left for BJ Penn to fight at lightweight? Sure, there are many good fighters, but I think BJ is far ahead of the pack right now. I wouldn’t mind seeing a 3rd fight between BJ Penn and Matt Hughes.

UFC 107: My Picks To Win

Yeah, I know my picks don’t matter, but still…

Kevin Burns over TJ Grant
Demarques Johnson over Edgar Garcia
Rousimar Palhares over Lucio Linhares
Johnny Hendricks by something brutal over Ricardo “Golden Boy” Funch
Matt Wiman over Shane Nelson
Alan Belcher over Wilson Gouveia
Paul Buentello by KO over Stefan Struve
Kenny Florian by submission over Clay Guida
Jon Fitch by decision over Mike Pierce
Frank Mir by submission over Cheick Kongo
…and the main event is a tough one for me, I hate to see either guy lose, but I think I’m gonna have to pick BJ Penn on this one, although Diego is an animal and always comes to fight.

UFC 82 Results

In the main event, Anderson Silva defeated Dan Henderson to retain the UFC Middleweight Championship. Silva submitted Dan Henderson with a rear-naked choke in round 2. Anderson Silva controlled the stand-up game, but Henderson was able to take Silva to the ground in round 1 and possibly won that round, but had nothing going in round two on the ground.

Evan Tanner is not a contender for the 185lb championship. He  didn’t look like he could find his range against Yushin Okami, and was ultimately knocked out with a knee. If he were fighting Anderson Silva, it would have happened much earlier in the fight.

Heath Herring looked good against Cheick Kongo, and wona split decision. It should’ve been a unanimous decision for Heath Herring.

Chris Leben KO’d Allesio Sakara in round one.

Jorge Gurgel won a decision over John Halverson

Diego Sanchez punched David Bielkheden into submission

Josh Koscheck and Dustin Hazelett fought a good fight, both got rocked throughout the slugfest, and Dustin Hazelett was TKO’d by Koscheck.

Luke Cummo lost a decision to Luigi Fioravanti

Andre Arlovski TKO’d Jake O’Brien

Jon Fitch won a decision over Chris Wilson

Diego Sanchez To Drop To 155lbs After Loss To Jon Fitch @ UFC 76

At the UFC 76 post fight press conference, Diego Sanchez said he is considering dropping to lightweight (155lbs) because he didn’t feel as strong last night as he would like to be. Diego seems much more humble since his days on and immediately after his season of The Ultimate Fighter reality show. He was very respectful at the post fight press conference and said “I’m contemplating in my mind whether I’m gonna drop to ’55 or not, cuz I really am a smaller welterweight, but it’s either that, or start power lifting and get a little stronger, because ya know, I did feel a little bit not as strong in there as I should’ve been
