Adrenaline MMA signs 3-fight deal with HDNet

New York — Fans unable to attend the first Adrenaline MMA event on June 14 at the Sears Center Arena in Hoffman Estates, Ill., will be able to watch the event live on HDNet.

Adrenaline CEO Monte Cox has announced a deal for the Mark Cuban-owned HDNet to carry the event’s first three shows live. “We want to be considered one of the top events in the country,” Cox said. “In order to compete at that level, we have to have a television deal. This enables us to build a following not only in the cities we hold events, but also with fans around the country.”

Among the first fighters signed to Adrenaline MMA contracts are former UFC heavyweight champion Tim Sylvia, former IFL heavyweight standout Ben Rothwell and former Bodog champion Ed Alvarez.
Adrenaline MMA’s first show features UFC and Pride veteran Jeff Monson against Chicago police officer and Pride veteran Mike Russow. For the complete card, check out adrenaline-mma.com.

Sherdog owes BoDog quite a bit of money.

She Dog cost Bodog some money in PPV sale by ruining the event for many fans. Early saturday, long before the U.S. pay-per-view aired, Shedog posted a huge photo and headline declaring Fedor as the winner of the Fedor-Lindland fight.

I personally know of huge groups of fans that decided not to purchase the Pay-Per-View event because of the spoiler, and likewise, many have sworn off ever visiting SherDog again. I think this is a shame.

I finally finished watching BoDog Fight USA vs. Russia on the ION channel

Hell, on my cable system the PAX channel has changed to ION. I didn’t even notice the change, but while looking at my TV listings I saw BoDog Fight listed. Sweet, free MMA on TV is always cool. I knew the Bodog Fight event had already taken place, and I already knew the results but it was nice to watch the fights because I hadn’t seen them when they were LIVE on pay-per-view or however they were aired.

The fights that stood out to me were probably the same fights that impressed everyone else. I admit I didn’t know much about who Eddie Alvarez was, but homeboy has some ferocious hands. He destroyed Aaron Riley in that fight.

I was glad to see Eric Pele get the win over Antonio Silva and his big-ass head. Yeah, so the fight may have been stopped slightly early, I don’t care. War PELE. I hope he KO’s Alex Emelianenko too if that’s who he fights next.

The Trevor Prangley and Andrei Semenov fight was good too, even though it went to a judges decision, Prangley took some helluva shots to the dome and managed to win the fight.
