What’s wrong with this guy?

Ok, I understand he is evidently upset that Chuck Liddell lost, but give me a break. This guy seems like he wants to cry about it. First of all, he does nothing but cuss. Secondly, has he never heard of Quinton Jackson before? Probably not, because he also didn’t know who Dan Henderson was.

This seems to be the drawback of MMA growing in popularity. As a result, we have to put up with newbies who don’t know crap giving their ignorant commentary via Youtube.

This guy also complains about Quinton “Rampage” Jackson being disrespectful, but he comments about that piece of garbage Houston Alexander being respectful? Come on dude, did you even watch the fights or are you just being hypocritical? or are you naturally just that ignorant?

Oh yeah, and he also says he’s going to drive his car off a cliff.. Haha, please do, sir.
Dude, Chuck Liddell lost. Get over it.

Anyway, feel free to watch this idiot in all his glory.

Chuck Liddell Knocked Out In 1st Round Against Quinton Rampage Jackson

Wow. Chuck Liddell’s reign as light-heavyweight champion of the world is over. Quinton “Rampage” Jackson connected with a right-hook on the side of Liddell’s chin that sent Chuck landing on his ass. Rampage closed in for the kill after that, landing several more punches to the face and putting Chuck Liddell to sleep for a second before referee Big John McCarthy pulled him off and stopped the fight.

It appears that the first challenger for Rampage Jacksons new light-heavyweight title will be Dan Henderson.

Also tonight, Keith Jardine was KTFO by newcomer Houston Alexander in the first round.

Chuck Liddell vs Rampage Jackson tonight at UFC 71

Wow, I don’t care what other people say about mega-fights, whether it’s CroCop/Fedor, Wanderlei/Liddell, whatever… In my opinion, tonights fight ranks right up there with any “fantasy” match-up that could’ve happened this year. I hate to even predict a winner, I like both fighters, but Liddell by 1st round KO.

The official weigh-ins were yesterday in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. All the fighters made weight, results were:

  • Chuck Liddell (205) vs. Quinton Jackson (205)

  • Josh Burkman (171) vs. Karo Parisyan (170)

  • Keith Jardine (205) vs. Houston Alexander (202)

  • Terry Martin (186) vs. Ivan Salaverry (184)
  • Chris Leben (185) vs. Kalib Starnes (186)
  • Jeremy Stephens (156) vs. Din Thomas (155)
  • James Irvin (204) vs. Thiago Silva (202)
  • Alan Belcher (205) vs. Sean Salmon (205)
  • Wilson Gouveia (204) vs. Carmelo Marrero (205)

Tonights preliminary fights start at 8:10 p.m. ET/5:10 PT, and the pay-per-view show will start at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT.

Anyway, I’ve been slacking on my posting here lately, I’ve been busy with other stuff, but I like to make my picks to win anyway (like my opinion matters, right?)…It’s all good though, I just do this for fun.

My picks are:

Liddell by KO
Karo Parysian by decision
Ivan Salaverry by sub
Keith Jardine by me knowing who he is
Chris Leben by KO/TKO because I just dont think I like Kalib Starnes and his sunglasses
James Irvin by KO
Sean Salmon by Camel Clutch, ok I want him to get a win after getting KO’d in his last fight against Rashad Evans.. hell, I wanted him win that fight too, and he was until he got kicked upside the head.

and last but not least, I think Jeremy Stephens will upset Din Thomas….Stephens by KO.

Marco Ruas vs. Maurice Smith tonight

Yep, I’m excited about this fight, even though both guys are in their 40′s. They first fought back in 1999, but Marco Ruas lost due to a knee injury. Marco Ruas helped educated me on the sport, but destroying Paul Varelans with a bunch of leg kicks, chopping down the 6’8″ tree.

In tonights fight, I think I’m gonna hope for Maurice Smith to win, although I’m really just excited to see the fight, and in my opinion they are both MMA legends.

NEW YORK, May 6, 2007 – The International Fight League (OTC.BB: IFLI), the world’s first team-based professional mixed martial arts league, is deeply saddened to announce the passing of Southern California Condors middleweight Jeremy Williams, 27, of Laguna Niguel, Calif.  The Orange County, Calif., Sheriff’s Department – Coroner Division confirmed that Williams died Saturday and that an autopsy will be performed to determine cause of death.

“This is a very sad day for the Williams family, Jeremy’s teammates and all of the Mixed Martial Arts community,” IFL Co-founder and Commissioner Kurt Otto said.  “Jeremy was a tremendous competitor and teammate, as well as being a very strong person who lifted the spirits of everyone around him.  Our thoughts and prayers are with Jeremy’s wife, Lauren, their young daughter and the rest of his family, as well as his coaches Marco Ruas and Debi Purcell and all his teammates.  Everyone at the IFL, as well as the entire MMA community, will do everything we can to support them in their hour of need.”

Williams owned a professional record of 7-2 and was undefeated in his first two IFL fights, last competing at the Forum in Los Angeles on March 17, when he defeated the Tokyo Sabres’ Kazuhiro Hamanaka.  One of the rising stars of the first-year league, Williams was going to miss the Condors’ next matchup at the Sears Centre in Chicago on May 19, due to a recent recurrence of a sternum injury.

Floyd Mayweather wins split decision over Oscar De La Hoya…is boxing saved?

No, I don’t think so. Of course, the best thing would be if boxing and MMA could co-exist peacefully. Although tonights fight was decent, it failed to live up to the hype. I didn’t believe what I was hearing when I heard one judge give the fight to De La Hoya. I think Oscar might have won 4 or possibly 5 rounds, but not the fight.

Now, what about Floyd Mayweather Jr. running his mouth about MMA? Well, it’s something we’ll never get to see. He will never step foot inside an ring or octagon to do battle under MMA rules. He has too much to lose, and we all know that if he stepped in there with a decent MMA fighter, he would get his ass kicked. Mayweather would need to do some serious sprawl training in order to have a chance against someone like Sean Sherk or any other top lightweight MMA fighter.

The best (most entertaining) part of this whole Mayweather/De La Hoya drama was Floyd Sr. That old dude is cool. Possibly on drugs, but cool. WAR FLOYD SR.

LOL @ Floyd Mayweather Jr.. nobody thinks he can win in the UFC.

NBC Sports has a poll right now about how Mayweather Jr. would do against UFC Lightweight Champion Sean Sherk.. well, Floyd Mayweather Jr. isn’t doing to good in the poll. http://www.nbcsports.com/ufc/1432228/detail.html

I hope De La Hoya crushes him.
